This week’s blog will discuss the importance of flood insurance in the event of a water loss. This is especially important during hurricane season for those living in North Carolina and residing in flood-prone areas. The News & Observer quotes the North Carolina Hurricane Guide as stating, “that 1 inch of water can cost up to $25,000 or more in cleanup and repair!” Interestingly, most homeowners’ insurance and renter’s insurance do not typically cover flood damage.
